ALDI Australia is on cloud nine after claiming its NINTH consecutive Canstar Blue Supermarket Satisfaction Ratings win for 2026.
For almost a decade, Australian shoppers have rated ALDI as Australia’s best-rated supermarket for overall customer satisfaction, making it the only supermarket to achieve this recognition for nine consecutive years.
The award comes as ALDI continues to strengthen its value offering for customers in its fresh meat, seafood and deli ranges, investing more than $170 million in permanent price reductions across over 300 products, based on current customer purchasing patterns and pricing over a 12-month period. The investment includes staples such as bacon, sausages, beef silverside and lamb loin chops reduced by up to 20 per cent as ALDI doubles down on its promise to never be beaten on the cost of the weekly shop.
Jordan Lack, Chief Commercial Officer at ALDI Australia, said: “Australians shouldn’t have to spend more to get high-quality products at the checkout. We’re incredibly proud to be recognised in this year’s Canstar Blue Most Satisfied Customer Awards for Supermarkets, reinforcing what ALDI customers already know, that exceptional quality and low prices can go hand in hand. Being recognised by our customers for the ninth consecutive year is a fantastic achievement and reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering the quality and value Australians expect from ALDI.”
“Our Price Promise is built on one simple commitment to Australians, ALDI won’t be beaten on the cost of their weekly shop. That’s why we’re continuing to lower prices across our range, giving customers more opportunities to save on everyday essentials. Every price reduction, every efficiency and every decision we make is focused on helping Aussies get more value from every dollar they spend, thanks to our exceptionally low ALDI prices.”
Commenting on the win, Eden Radford, Consumer Expert, Canstar, said: “Congratulations to ALDI for winning Canstar’s Most Satisfied Customers Award for Supermarkets for the ninth consecutive year, and fourteenth win overall.”
“Canstar’s research shows households are keeping an extra close eye on their grocery budgets, with over 80 per cent making active changes to try and save on costs. It’s in this environment that ALDI has again proven it understands what shoppers want.”
“ALDI has received Canstar’s customer satisfaction award because customers rated the supermarket highly across all categories, with particularly high ratings for value for money, own-brand product quality, store layout, and deals and specials available.”
“Nine consecutive wins, decided by the opinion of customers, doesn’t happen by accident – it’s the result of consistently delivering on what Australians are looking for at the checkout.”
This latest win marks ALDI’s fourteenth Most Satisfied Customers Award since Canstar’s Supermarket Satisfaction Ratings began in 2011. ALDI has previously taken out the award in 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2012 and 2011.
Here are just a few ways ALDI has continued to deliver satisfaction for shoppers over the past 12 months:
Kept prices LOW for customers
ALDI continues to invest in keeping prices low for Australian shoppers, with more than $170 million invested in permanent price reductions on over 300 products, based on current customer purchasing patterns and pricing over a 12-month period. Staples including bacon, sausages, beef silverside and lamb loin chops have recently been reduced by up to 20 per cent, reinforcing ALDI’s commitment to delivering value on the weekly shop.
Delivered the BEST quality for customers
ALDI has continued to give customers more reasons to shop the Good Different way, with ALDI’s quality and value range recognised across a range of industry awards. In 2026, ALDI was named Australia’s best supermarket for meat by Finder, taking out 75 per cent of the meat categories in its Supermarket Customer Satisfaction Awards. ALDI’s Lazzio Coffee has also continued its award-winning run, while its Mamia Nappies were recognised among Australia’s best, showing customers can find quality across more of their weekly shop.
Introduced MORE for customers
ALDI has continued to give customers more ways to save beyond the weekly shop, expanding its offering across 2026. This year, ALDI Solar expanded into South Australia and Western Australia, giving more households access to affordable solar and battery solutions, while its expanded partnership with DoorDash has brought Special Buys and Liquor to customers through delivery. ALDI has also continued to introduce new products and ranges across its stores, giving customers even more choice at ALDI prices.
