It’s Snow time! ALDI Australia has announced its iconic Snow Gear Special Buys are back for 2026, with over 50 winter essentials, including thermals, waterproof jackets and pants, boots and accessories, all under $100, hitting the middle aisle on Saturday May 23 2026.

The return of the popular range couldn’t be better timed, with new research, commissioned on behalf of ALDI Australia, finding 3.7 million Aussies (17%) are planning on a snow trip in 20261. Enthusiasm for the snow season is unmatched, with 6 per cent of Aussies saying their first run at the snow is more exciting than their wedding day (6.4%), and 5 per cent admitting it is more exciting than or even the birth of their children1. 35 per cent of Aussies say their family and friends are inspiring them to book snow trips, while about a quarter of Australians are influenced by social media (27%) and by wanting to have bucket list experiences (25%)1.

With the Aussie winter ski season kicking off in June, and what could be the coolest launch of 2026, ALDI has unveiled the range in true Good Different style with a first-of-its-kind fashion show – on ice. For the spectacle, ALDI’s official Snow Gear 2026 partner, the Sydney Bears Ice Hockey Club, laced up their skates and hit the ice for a snow-stopping runway show at ICE ZOO Sydney.

Putting the Special Buys range to the test in the coldest conditions, Australia’s first fashion show on ice brought together style and performance. The Sydney Bears Ice Hockey Club showcased the range’s waterproof, durable and breathable designs, proving they’re ready for whatever winter throws at them.

Belinda Grice, Group Director, Special Buys, ALDI Australia, says: “This year, we set out to test our highly anticipated Snow Gear Special Buys range in a Good Different way that matched the conditions it was built for. That’s why we’ve partnered with the Sydney Bears Ice Hockey Club to showcase how performance meets style on our icy runway. Our Snow Gear range has been offering quality, durable and stylish snow apparel and accessories at ALDI prices for more than two decades, with the 2026 range featuring over 50 items starting from just $4.99, and nothing over $100.”

“Our Snow Gear Special Buys deliver the full package; functional, fashionable pieces at exceptionally low ALDI prices. Every item in this year’s range is made for real life, whether that means heading out early for a few runs or dressing the whole family for weekend adventures. Our snow gear has been designed by experts, bringing a premium approach to the details that actually matter; durability, functionality and comfort that help you move confidently, and keep dry, in cold climates,” she said.

“Who better to put our gear to the test than the Sydney Bears Ice Hockey Club? These elite athletes are tough on their gear, and ALDI’s range has stood up against real movement, real speed, and real conditions,” Ms Grice continued.

Bianca Musico, Club President, Sydney Bears Ice Hockey Club says: “Our players are excited to be the first to test ALDI’s 2026 Snow Gear Special Buys range and bring together high-performance sport and high-performance gear in an unexpected way. On the ice, performance matters, and our players know the importance of having good gear. ALDI’s Snow Gear range handled movement, cold and pressure, exactly how quality gear should.”

“At the Sydney Bears, our players are well acquainted with icy conditions and they truly live and breathe high-performance in every aspect, from the gear they wear to gameplay. ALDI’s Snow Gear range is super functional, which is critical on the ice. Premium gear for an unbeatable price, it does not get better than that. Whether Aussies are heading to the ice rink for a game of hockey or hitting the slopes this winter, ALDI’s Snow Gear really delivers on all fronts; price, performance and style.”

Snow-ready from head to toe for less than $255
ALDI’s Snow Gear is built to deliver what Aussie families want most this winter: warmth, durability and great value. From waterproof, breathable designs to quality gear that’s made to last, the range is made for everything from ski trips and snowboarding weekends to everyday winter wear. And it comes at a price that’s hard to beat – Aussie adults can kit themselves out from just $255, kids from just $187, and a family of four can be fully equipped for the slopes or winter adventures for under $884.

Belinda Grice continued: “This snow season, we’ve made it simple and affordable to get everyone kitted out for winter. Whether you’re carving up the slopes, building your first snowman, or just staying warm on a crisp winter getaway, our range has you covered from head to toe.”

“Comfort is non-negotiable when the temperature drops, and durability is just as important when Aussies are putting our gear to the test. That’s why this range is built for both longevity and everyday wear, with practical features like air vents for breathability, wind-resistance to help block the chill, and advanced waterproofing to keep you comfortable when the weather turns.”

“We also know people don’t always use snow gear for one single purpose, which is why we’ve built this range to be versatile. Whether you’re shredding the slopes or cheering from the sidelines at weekend soccer games, these pieces are made to help you stay warm and move easily at prices customers have come to expect from ALDI,” Ms Grice said.
