The countdown to Christmas has officially started and to celebrate the most special time of the year, ALDI Australia today unveils its 2019 Christmas campaign.

In this year’s Christmas TV commercial which airs from Sunday, November 3, ALDI Australia tells a story of generosity and togetherness when a little old lady’s Christmas goes from lonely to joyful – all thanks to a magical fairytale ham. This ham just keeps growing, no matter how many times it is sliced. Once Beryl discovers she has a meat-based miracle on her hands, she endeavours to share her endless ham with members of her community. We can all relate – a ham can feed an army on Christmas Day. It feeds cricket watchers on Boxing Day and then last minute guests on New Year’s Eve. It is the ultimate symbol of generosity.

Shot in Tasmania, the campaign brings to life the Australian spirit of sharing the festive cheer with everyone around you.

“Christmas is the time of year that Australians want to spoil their families, however there can be a misconception that to get the best quality Christmas feast, presents and experience, you need to spend big. The never-ending ham in our 2019 Christmas campaign is symbolic to the value you can get at ALDI. With great prices across our entire Christmas range, you can afford to spoil your guests with our award-winning Australian hams, European sweets and delicacies, decorations and gifts on any budget,” said Mark Richardson, Marketing Director at ALDI Australia.

Our hams truly are magical, having won Canstar Blue’s 2018 Supermarket Christmas award for our Christmas Leg Ham. The award-winning range of Australian hams including Berg Australian Half Leg Ham, Specially Selected Triple Smoked Half Leg Ham and Berg Leg Ham Portion on the Bone will be in stores this December.

To add a little more festive cheer to the countdown to Christmas, our much-anticipated Wine Advent Calendar will return to stores again this year on Wednesday 13th November. The wine calendar features 24 mini bottles of French wine including sparkling, white, rose and red varieties.

We look forward to unveiling our full Christmas range in the coming weeks and making Christmas even merrier for more Australians!
